Seeing double: Constructing Chern-Simons-Yang-Mills theories on the lattice

Abstract: I sketch the construction of 2+1-D doubled lattice CSYM theories with discrete gauge group in the Hamiltonian formalism. This construction relies on the introduction of a one-cocycle on the discrete group space, which is determined explicitly. Thereby, different classes of doubled CSYM theories are obtained. The nature of their ground states as well as the statistical properties of charged excitations are discussed.
